Manchester United fans left drooling over Villareal star Pau Torres after Champions League performance

Manchester United are currently locked in action with Villareal, in a repeat of the Europa League final. The Red Devils lost the fixture last season, handing Unai Emery another Europa League trophy in the process, and will be looking for revenge.

However, they began awfully, and should really have been behind heading into the break. Only a vintage David De Gea performance prevented the yellow submarine from taking the lead in the opening 45 minutes.

Despite De Gea’s best efforts, the visitors took the lead early into the second half at Old Trafford, with Paco Alcacer turning in from an Arnaut Danjuma cross.

Manchester United were, somewhat against the run of play, fired back into contention by a brilliant strike from full-back Alex Telles, and the game remains on a knife-edge.

Manchester United fans single out Pau Torres for praise

Watching the game, however, Manchester United fans were most struck by one particular member of the opposition, namely one-time transfer target Pau Torres.

The ability for the Spaniard to progress the ball, as well as his quality of pass, was what particularly stood out to the Old Trafford faithful:
