Bellerin joins Betis
News broke late last night that Hector Bellerin was proving of interest to Spanish outfit Real Betis.
Today, that news was cemented, with the Athletic’s Arsenal correspondent David Ornstein revealing that an agreement had been reached between the two clubs to take the 26 year old Arsenal man on loan.

Bellerin will be taking a pay cut, as Willian did, in order to make the move away from the Gunners possible.
Disappointingly, as per the same report there will be no option or obligation to buy inserted in the deal, meaning that Bellerin will return to north London and be left in the same predicament in 12 months time, a reoccurring theme this summer.
The lack of any potential sale at the end of the loan will come as a frustration to Arsenal fans, but the loan offers Bellerin a chance to rediscover some form, and to re-assert his value in order to fetch Arsenal more money next season.
Spanish club officially announce his addition
However, after 9 years, and 239 appearances for the Gunners, Bellerin has started a new chapter, being officially unveiled as a new Real Betis player.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have splashed out around 16 million pounds on a deal for Bologna right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu to fill the void left by the Spaniard.
🚨 Takehiro Tomiyasu is undergoing a medical in Bologna ahead of his proposed £16m plus bonuses permanent transfer to Arsenal. If everything goes to plan, the 22yo Japan international defender is expected to sign a four-year contract at #AFC @TheAthleticUK https://t.co/WNg4IWm6uj

Will the trade prove to be a success for the Gunners?
