Leicester in late swoop for Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi

A fresh suitor has emerged in the race for Chelsea starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to reports.

Blues hard at work

Ongoings on the west of London have of course taken centre stage in the media over the last 24 hours.

This comes as those in a position of power at Stamford Bridge go about trimming Thomas Tuchel’s heavily bloated playing squad ahead of the window slamming shut on Tuesday night.

To this point in the summer, the likes of Olivier Giroud, Tammy Abraham, Kurt Zouma and Victor Moses have all been moved on on a permanent basis.

Following this quartet out the door on Monday alone, meanwhile, have been both Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater.

Highly regarded starlet Tino Anjorin also appears primed for an imminent departure, with a loan deal including an option to buy currently under discussion with Russian giants Lokomotiv Moscow.

CHO eyed

And, as outlined above, the late window outflux from West London may not end there.

This comes with a new suitor having emerged in the race for Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The last 24 hours have of course seen the topic of CHO’s future gain widespread traction, amid heavy interest on the part of Bundesliga heavyweights Borussia Dortmund.

On Monday evening, though, a fresh insight into the situation pointed towards a deal being struck between the BVB board and their counterparts at Stamford Bridge looking altogether unlikely:

But this development does not appear to have definitively ruled out the possibility of Hudson-Odoi finding himself a new club before the transfer deadline.

As per a report from Sky Sports, citing football.london, Leicester City are now eyeing a move for Chelsea’s out of favour young wide-man.

Not only that, but it is suggested that, unlike in the case of Dortmund, the Foxes would be willing to pay up to make the deal a permanent one:
