Everton sign Rondon
Everton have capped off their summer transfer window with a move for Salomon Rondon.
31-year-old Rondon has plenty of Premier League experience having impressed with both Newcastle United and West Brom previously.
Rafa Benitez would, of course, also work with Rondon when the pair were at Newcastle together.
As per Everton, Rondon has signed on a free transfer and has penned a two-year contract with the option of an extra year.

After signing for Everton, Rondon had this to say:
“I’m really glad to be back in the Premier League. It’s a competition I enjoyed playing in and where I felt the fans’ support in every game.
“Defending the colours of a club with a history as rich as Everton’s fills me with pride. I can’t wait to pull on the shirt and be reunited with Rafa Benítez, a coach who has changed the way I understand the game. I’m really grateful for the faith he’s shown in me.”
Everton’s summer window
Rondon is Everton’s 5th signing of the summer in what has been a fairly cheap window for the Toffees.
Asmir Begovic, Andros Townsend, Andy Lonergan and now Rondon have all signed on free transfers.
Meanwhile, Demarai Gray is the only player the Merseysiders are believed to have paid a fee for. But even that transfer only reportedly set Everton back around £1.8m.
Everton were also said to have been eyeing a move for FC Porto’s Luis Diaz, but that deal collapsed:
