Photos of a brilliant gesture on the part of Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale have come to the fore online, on the back of the club’s meeting with Burnley.
Odegaard makes the difference
Ramsdale and co. of course returned to action yesterday afternoon.
After getting the club’s season back on track courtesy of a much-needed 1-0 downing of Norwich City last time out, Arsenal made the trip to Turf Moor, for a daunting Premier League meeting with Burnley.
And, when all was said and done, the Gunners stood tall, to make it two wins from two over the course of the last week.
A solitary goal again proved all that was required for Mikel Arteta’s men to get the job done, with the North Londoners having had summer arrival Martin Odegaard to thank for precisely that.
After Bukayo Saka was felled on the edge of the Burnley area, Odegaard stepped up to direct a sumptuous effort over the wall, and beyond the clutches of the helpless Nick Pope:

Ramsdale’s gesture
On the back of the action coming to a close on Saturday, though, it was not the moment of magic on the part of the Gunners’ midfield creator which in fact took centre stage in the post-match chatter.
This, instead, came in the form of Arsenal’s stout defensive display, which saw the likes of Gabriel Magalhaes, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Aaron Ramsdale stand tall in the face of Burnley’s ‘agricultural’ tactics.
And, as outlined above, on Sunday, the latter of these stars has continued to grab the headlines for all the right reasons.
This comes with a pair of brilliant photos, showcasing Ramsdale making the day of a young travelling fan, having come to the fore on social media:
